Summer is here!
June 6, 2010

Hello from beautiful Estes Park in Colorado! We started our journey last Monday May 31st and hit our first destination Estes Park, Colorado on Friday June 4th! You can keep up with our blog and see where and what we are up to this summer: www.epandthemissle.com

The shops are being taken good care of by Kim and our new addition JJ Sheffer! If you haven't met JJ yet you will really enjoy her and her vast knowledge of the city and music! I again am so lucky and blessed to have these two beauties take care of Sweet Melissa's Dream on North Beaver Street this summer. The girls are being kept busy with new inventory arriving every week. As I travel I will be keeping my eyes out for cool things to send to the shop, so stop in often!

Thanks for your continued support! Here is to summer and the wonderful things it brings with it!

Best!
Melissa

Spring!
April 14, 2010

Wow this year is off to a fast start! Can't believe that April is here. It was a long hard winter but an early spring is our reward from Mother Nature. As spring comes so does the start of our adventure on the road, if you don't know Eric and I are taking a three month journey west! We leave on at the end of May and come home in mid September. We will have a traveling blog to entertain you with. Our first stop is Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, from there you will just have to stay tuned. My good friend Kim Jago will be running the shop for me this summer. Some of you may know Kim from her cupcakes! She is an awesome cupcake maker and I think she will be making some yummy cupcakes here and there thru out the summer. Kim is really looking forward to being downtown again and I am very lucky to have her helping me. Kim is truly a blessing! Come down and say hello to her.

Okay so as long as we are on the topic of the shop... if you haven't been in for a while you're in for a surprise! I have gotten back into carrying clothing, and I love it! What I am really happy to say is I carry is clothing that is eco-friendly, fair trade, and locally made. These three things are very important to me as a person and a shop owner. To find stylish, comfortable, well made and wearable plus eco-friendly or fair trade is just wonderful. If you have a favorite line that you like to see in the shop please let me know I will be happy to look into it.

These are exciting times for me and I am blessed to have such great people in my life. I am so grateful for the chance to travel this summer, I thank my dear husband for this adventure. I am also happy to have Kim join me and take the reins for the summer, I know she will do a great job and you will enjoy your visits to the shop with her there.

Remember anything is possible and dream big!

Welcome to my blog
July 31, 2009
Hello, I am Melissa Grove. I am a self taught artist. I see beauty in nature and all things around me, and I try to capture that feeling thru my art and in my shop. Caring for nature has been a very inspiring lesson learned from childhood. I learned many things about nature from my Grandmother Orpha Markey and my parents Robert and Sandra Grim. Nature has always been a big part of my art. Birds, insects, fairies, and anything winged are some of my favorite things from nature. As an adult I see how important it is for us to take care of this earth. I am always on the search for cool things that work with the environment and nature in mind. It is important to me to do good things in this world. I feel if I can offer and create things that have been inspired by nature and to inspire others to think about the environment, creativity and love. Then I have done my job as artist and shop owner. I will keep you posted here on my blog about what inspires me. And hopefully I can inspire others too.
