Kantha, is a type of embroidery craft in Bangladesh and eastern regions of India, particularly in the Indian states of West Bengal, Tripura and Odisha. "Kantha saris" are traditionally worn by women in Bengal region. Once Sweet Melissa recieves the Kantha material she washes, and mends as needed, then she looks at the Kantha to decide what each piece would look good as a Kimono or dress. Each piece is special, like most of Sweet Melissa's work they are one of a kind pieces of art to wear.
