Reimagining this beautiful denim jacket was easy with the Queen Bee patch on the back. I love bees, watching them fly through the air with ease, softly landing on a flower. I love the structure of this denim jacket. It feels like a jacket that you might wear out into the garden in early spring or fall, filling the pockets with tiny tomatos or fresh herbs. With the rabbit patch on the back and the sweet little bird eggs, I am very happy with the way this jacket came out. I love being outside and you will usually find me with stuff in my pockets. A beautiful color and a relaxed fit, this long cardi needed roses adorned on it. This stunning  old roses fabric was the answer. Needing a little more ump to it I decided to make a fabric boa out of batik fabric. Fun and funky! Emblished with rose patches, and batik fabric.

This is the first piece I started with for this collection. My love for thrift shopping started in my teens. Not wanting to look like everyone else in school, thrift shopping was my thing.  I  really changed the look of this vest. Looking around my studio my eyes landed on this beautiful lace. The lace that I use is from vintage Quaker lace tableclothes. Not are they only beautiful, but so many stories are embeded in them. Maybe the tableclothes were used for a holiday where everyone gathered to share meal and love for each other. It makes the lace special. You may even find a little stain here and there. Of course I try not to include them but it is also a mark from the past that is meant to be there. This beautiful vest has a tie on the back and is emblished with Quaker lace tablecloth, a mushroom patch, and silk Kantha.
